Not so long ago, Formula 1 teams were seen as poor financial assets - money guzzling teams that rarely turned a profit. All of that changed when Formula 1 was acquired by Liberty Media in 2017 - they implemented cost caps and drove F1s aggressive expansion in the United States. Since, almost every team generates an operating profit and almost all of them are valued at more than $1B. What a turnaround!

Despite the fatal crash between an American Airlines plane and a US Army Helicopter that killed 67 people, there was no significant drop in the share price of the airline. While American Airlines took measures to reassure the public and highlight its focus on safety, the largely stable stock price is a narrative violation.
